Neatly done-up in white and wood, French Toast has been serving people oh-so-delicious pastries and innovative snacks for over three years now. Ayaz Salim and his family envisioned a patisserie of world-class quality that served a menu that’s delicious, healthy and natural.
Chef Sufiyan, a pastry expert, gave it the first set of classic recipes, including the much popular Mont Blanc pastry.
A year later, Shruthi Nayar joined as the R&D chef and soon we saw ‘French Toast’ move from just the name to the real thing on a plate. A variety of French toasts are being tried, designed and served.
The Olive Bread and Morney Sauce French toast is a killer, while sweet-lovers drool over the Strawberry French Toast. From big slices of sweetness, the place has now expanded to breads, salads, cookies and macaroons, snacks… more food ideas are in the works.
Pure Belgian chocolates, pure unsalted butter, freshly baked breads… all things naturally delicious find their way into the French Toast kitchen or experiment studio.
Combining ingredients, mixing and matching flavours, they try to bring in new dishes to the menu every 3-4 months. While they’d love to work with local produce like coconut and jackfruit, customers often seem to prefer fancier and meatier choices. And sure enough, you get just that—flavours that satisfy your hunger and warm your heart.
Four outlets and still counting, French Toast hopes to expand within the city and outside in the coming years. Apart from this, they do bespoke cakes and cookies and also cater for small events like kiddie parties. They do hope to branch out to large-scale catering too in future.
